Title: CASHIER

Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Sales - Assist customers with placing orders, answering gardening questions/designs/plant care, cashier
- Assist in creating and maintaining displays in garden center
- Pricing plant material as it is delivered to nursery using our plant software
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of plant material
- Excellent communication skills with professional appearance
- Preferably previous sales experience in a retail enviroment
- A proactive approach to work and willingness to take responsibility
- Individual must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and walk most of there shift
- Ability to work outdoors in a wide variety of weather conditions
Title: Delivery Driver
Department: Nursery
Position: Full Time (Seasonal)
Key Responsibilities:
Department: Nursery
Position: Full Time (Seasonal)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver product to residential and commercial customers
- Customer service (assist in confirming delivery orders with customers prior to deliveries and organize delivery schedule
- During down time, assist with garden center duties as needed
- Ability to operate Dump Trucks (Automatic & Standard)
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Ability to follow GPS
These are excellent opportunities for individuals looking to develop their horticulture experience. Phelps Nursery has a growing facility located in Madison, Ohio. Most of the plant material that is sold out of the garden centers come from our farm.
We are open to the general public as well as have a wholesale division. We work closely with landscape architects, commercial developers and do contract growing.
